Kalatop National Forest Sanctuary
It is situated in the Dalhousie Chamba route. On July 1, 1949 Kalatop National Forest Sanctuary was recognised as Game Sanctuary.

The main tourist attractions that falls under the Kalatop National Forest Sanctuary are Khajiiar, Dain Khudd, Kalatop, Lakarmandi, Bada Pathar etc.

Weather in Macleodganj Dharamshala

Mcleodganj Dharamshala Temperature and Weather
Mcleodganj has a very pleasant weather in the summers. From April to September the temperature ranges between 15 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees. Always carry light woollens even in the summers and rainy season. It rains heavily in the months of July and August. The winters are very chilly and cold. Macleodganj also receive moderate snow fall in the winters. The temperature ranges between - 3 degrees to 15 degrees.

The entire Himalayan Dhauladhar range is covered with snow during the winters and offers an amazing and enchanting view from Macleodganj.

Since the inhabitants of Macleodganj are mostly Tibetans they also celebrate their new year festival which falls in Feb - March, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The new year festival is called LOSAR. The Tibetans perform their ritual dances during the festival.



Macleodganj can be visited the whole year. Summers are pleasant and winters are beautiful.
